Excellent thesis in nano-bioengineering

In recognition of the excellence of the "Liquid Metal Electrodynamic Acceleration Microfluidics System for DNA Memory and Liquid Biosy" conducted jointly by Professor Song Young-joon of the Nano-Bioengineering Department at Incheon National University, Dr. Kim Jin-cheol of the Institute of Biotechnology, and Professor Eun Hyuk-soo of Chungnam National University Medical School, "Inside backcover" was published in December

This study succeeded in detecting miRNA diagnostic markers between Alzheimer's disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver by developing a DNA memory chip using a liquid metal-based bioMEMS chip.

In this study, liquid electrode chips were introduced to increase miRNA accuracy and diagnostic accuracy in liquid biopsies, which have recently attracted attention in the diagnostic market, to extract miRNA electrically and at the same time show detection ability through fluorescence diagnosis.

This study was supported by the Korea Research Foundation's basic research laboratory support project, new research support project, and mid-sized research support project.
